Advocacy Updates


CTOA is actively advocating on your behalf to ensure a strong and prosperous trucking industry in Canada. Here's a closer look at some of our key advocacy initiatives:


  • Streamlining LCV Permits: We're pushing the Ministry of Transportation to simplify and quicken the Long Combination Vehicle permit process.


  • Conditional Safety Ratings: We're urging the Ministry of Transportation to expedite the implementation of conditional safety ratings for carriers and improve audit processes.


  • Municipal Parking Enforcement: Outreach to ensure enforcement is fair 


  • Truck Stop Shortage:  Advocating to expand existing rest areas and add new ones
